What did you learn from this class and what future interest and how do you imagine planning and using Technology in your future classroom?

In order to promote student engagement in the art classroom teachers must utilize students’ prior knowledge to inform instruction. In SAIC’s “CyberPedagogy” class we used Padlet, which is a virtual tool that allows students to write their ideas on a digital canvas, to communicate ideas in the first class. It is a safe way for students to convey messages anonymously, that can be read by the entire class. “Technology teachings” were another collaborative form of learning that increased the entire class’ mental database of tech to be used in their own classroom. The information we gathered is priceless and increased my interest in sources I didn’t even know existed. The section on 3d printing informed many ideas for lesson plans for the future. Redesigning a lesson plan into the SAMR model created many possibilities for future lesson plans. I will incorporate tech into any art classroom that I will be a part of, not only because I want to but because it’s available in the students’ pockets, so why not…
